Brussel Sprouts Processing Collaboration
Sapcote Engineering were approached to be a partner in developing an agricultural food processing machine that would top, cross and de-leaf brussel sprouts, due to our automation expertise and food industry expertise.
The details of the machines inner workings and specifications are covered under confidentiality agreements but this project was a good example of close collaboration to develop a new processing capability within the food industry. Multi-disciplined teams required a flexible and radical approach to problem-solving.
Full wash down capabilities was required so drive motor, electrical enclosure, cable management and weigh scale were all supplied in stainless steel with overall protection to IP65.
